FMVSS302標(biāo)準(zhǔn)目的及適用范圍 
本FMVSS302標(biāo)準(zhǔn)說明了對汽車乘客車廂使用材料的阻燃性的要求。本標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的目的旨在減少車輛發(fā)生火災(zāi)時所造成的傷亡，尤其是那些起源于車廂內(nèi)部如火柴或香煙引起的火災(zāi)。 
FMVSS 302標(biāo)準(zhǔn)適用于客車、多用途客車、卡車以及公共汽車。

FMVSS302樣品尺寸及數(shù)量 
樣品尺寸及數(shù)量：102mm×356mm×厚度（試樣在汽車上實際應(yīng)用的厚度，但是不大13mm,若大于13 mm，則要切割成13 mm.）至少10塊試樣,若沿不同方向有不同燃燒速度，則要在不同的方向都要取樣每個方向至少10塊試樣。若材料的尺寸不符合測試要求，要做成測試符合的要求的樣品。
